An exceptional and highly collectible work by Guillaume Corneille, created in 1978 and originating from a particularly scarce Épreuve d’Artiste edition of only 25 examples.
Femme et faune familière, À propos de chats is a wonderful example of Corneille's distinctive imagery from this period. Two stylised female profiles dominate the composition, surrounded by the animal and botanical forms that became central to his visual language. The intense blue, pink and red tones give the work an immediately recognisable Corneille character, strongly connected to his CoBrA heritage.
This particular example is designated EA 23/25 (Épreuve d’Artiste). With only 25 artist's proofs in this edition, it represents a considerably more exclusive version than a standard numbered edition.
