Corneille – Séduction Aquatique (2004)
A striking and highly tactile special carborundum litho by Guillaume Corneille, one of the founding members of the influential CoBrA movement.
Séduction Aquatique combines several of Corneille’s most recognisable motifs: the female figure, the bird and a fantastical creature, brought together in a vivid composition dominated by a deep cobalt-blue background and contrasting yellow and pastel tones.
The carborundum technique gives the work a particularly rich surface, depth and texture, making it visually much more substantial than a conventional lithograph.
The work is hand-signed and dated “Corneille ’04” and numbered 99/200.
It is beautifully presented in a silver frame with Artglass AR 70, offering approximately 70% UV protection and greatly reduced reflections. The reverse has been professionally sealed, making the work completely ready to hang.
The artwork is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity from Schana B Gallery, Brussels.
